It is necessary to vanquish Radahn, a Shardbearer in Elden Ring, in order to make further progress in certain quests in the Lands Between. It is a very well guarded castle that can only be entered through unique means, such as participating in the Radahn Festival. The beginning of the festival can begin in one of two ways, and it is up to the audience to decide which of these two options they would prefer. The following was modified on July 2, 2023 by Erik Petrovich:When players reach a certain point in the game, many of them start to wonder where Radahn is and how they can get to Redmane Castle so that they can defeat the supposedly most powerful of the demigods and claim his Great Rune for themselves. In order for players to reach Radahn and begin the Radahn Fight, they will first need to initiate the beginning of a one-of-a-kind event and then navigate their way to Redmane Castle, which is located to the southeast of Caelid. It is possible to get there via a variety of routes, and there are numerous locations throughout the game that direct players in the direction of the most potent Shardbearer.
Continue reading to discover how the Radahn Festival can be started, where Redmane Castle is located, and how the Radahn Fight in Elden Ring can be initiated. How to Get the Festival of Radahn StartedThe Radahn Festival can be activated in one of two ways: either by making progress through the Rannis questline or by activating the Grand Lift of Dectus in the northeastern region of Liurnia. The Magnificent Ascent of DectusThe Ranni the Witch ProcedureThe Rannis questline is the most efficient path to take to get to Radahn. Players will find her at the beginning of Elden Ring in the Church of Elleh, where she goes by the name Renna in a thinly veiled attempt to conceal her identity. It is not required to meet here in order to begin her questline, but doing so provides background information on the demigod in question. Players have the opportunity to enter the service of the demigod witch in Rannis Rise, which is the central Rise in the Three Sisters. You will be instructed to speak with Seluvis, the Rannis Preceptor, who will then direct you to Sorceress Sellen, who can be found in the Waypoint Ruins Cellar of Limgrave. She will divulge the hidden truth about Nokron, which is that you need to have one final conversation with Blaidd in the Siofra River in order to start the Radahn Festival.
The first of the two halves can be found in Fort Haight, which is located to the southeast of the Mistwood
-
It is also the simpler of the two halves
-
The second half can be found in the Dragonbarrow, which is located in northern Caelid and is known for its extreme difficulty
-
Players have two options for getting here: either they can take a slope that leads up from Sellia, the Town of Sorcery, or they can go to the Bestial Sanctum and head south from there
-
The other half of the Dectus Medallion can be found in Fort Faroth
-
It can be found on the southern cliffs of the Dragonbarrow, which are located above the boss arena for Radahn
-
After you have obtained both halves of the Dectus Medallion, you should travel to the location known as the Grand Lift of Dectus in the northeastern region of Liurnia
-
Tarnished will arrive at Altus Plateau after taking the lift
-
Cast Torrent, then use your speed to avoid the two Giants and make your way up the nearby hill to the closest Site of Lost Grace
Turn on the Site and try to kill some time until it's nighttime. The Radahn Festival will now begin, and players will be able to challenge Radahn at the bonfire in the middle of the Impassable Greatbridge. Both of these characters drop hints about the festival in the Caelid Wilds; to find the location of the Radahn Festival, head to the Impassible Greatbridge Site of Lost Grace in the southeast corner of Caelid, as shown in the previous image. When starting from Blaidd, players will have to travel through Limgrave and Caelid; however, when starting from Alexander, it is a simple journey across the Scarlet Rot to the southeast. From Fort Farroth, travel in a southerly and then a westerly direction to locate a route that leads down to Caelid. There are a large number of deformed T-Rex dogs and Radahn Soldiers stationed around the entrance to the so-called Impassible Greatbridge, but after a few seconds, they will engage in combat with one another. A Waygate can be found in the neighborhood of the Grace. You can use it to teleport inside the Redmane Castle by interacting with it; however, this feature is only available if the Radahn Festival has been initiated, and it will not work if the Redmane Castle is in its initial state.
Arriving at Redmane Castle in the MorningIt is possible to arrive at Redmane Castle well before the Festival, when you will be able to engage in combat with Radahn. The waygate won't be open, and players will have to fight a duo boss comprised of a Leonine Misbegotten and a Crucible Knight instead of Jerren and the rest of the celebrations. On the way into the castle, players will face other foes in addition to the Duo Boss, including a Troll and a large number of soldiers; however, the reward, the Ruins Greatsword, makes it worthwhile to overcome these obstacles. Once the Radahn Festival has begun, this iteration of Redmane Castle will undergo a transformation, and after that point, the duo boss will no longer be accessible. The Best Ways to Defeat Radahn While Attending the Radahn FestivalIf you went into Redmane Castle ahead of time and unlocked the Site of Grace just outside of the room where the duo boss is located, all you have to do to get to the festival grounds is teleport to the Site of Grace.
If this is not the case, you will need to navigate your way through the grounds of the castle while avoiding the lions in order to reach the area where all of the NPCs are located. Players will come across Blaidd and a number of other champions while exploring these Festival grounds. Engage in conversation with him, then head upstairs to locate Jerren, the Witch Hunter who is greeting everyone as they arrive at the Radahn Festival. To begin the battle against the Radahn in the Wailing Dunes, you will need to take the lift that is located just outside the rear door and then interact with the waygate.
