(Btw there was a player exchange for a player trade! Yay.)Denard Robinson, Offensive weapon, Jacksonville Jaguars

The tag offensive weapon will make Denard Robinson an intriguing player to Mut 24 coins observe during training camp. The Jaguars have classified their fifth-round selection with the title offensive weapon after his former Michigan quarterback declared himself an offensive player during minicamp meetings with the team. Robinson has a ton of leeway on the field, and has the potential to be a strong player for the Jaguars. The coaching staff will need to figure out a way to employ his skills which is what makes Robinson such an intriguing case study.

Tharold Simon, Cornerback Seattle Seahawks

Tharold Simon was pretty awful in his final season at LSU. A tough cornerback with the ability to defend the press, Simon was constantly exposed for his inability to use quick legs and fluid hips. Lucky for Simon, the Seahawks appreciate big, muscular cornerbacks. Simon's final season at LSU an indication of his abilities or could the Seahawks discover a way to make him a formidable coverman like they have so many other players?

Johnathan Franklin and Eddie Lacy, Running backs, Green Bay Packers

Fantasy football owners will be keeping an eye on the Packers running back's situation attentively during the course of training camp as well as the preseason. Newcomers Eddie Lacy and Johnathan Franklin are likely to share the work load in Green Bay's backfield, as the two have different strengths. However, one of the running backs could be separated in the preseason.

Quanterus Smith, Defensive end/Outside linebacker, Denver Broncos

Quanterus Smith would have picked up more pre-draft buzz if he hadn't torn his ACL toward the close of his senior season. Smith is one of the most technologically advanced players in this class of draft, however, the Broncos hope that he will maintain the speed and power he showed after suffering a knee injury that ended his season. He is he likely take part in training camp? If so, how effective will he be?

Cornellius Carradine, Defensive end, San Francisco 49ers

Another injury issue worth keeping an eye on in the period leading up to the start of the season will be 49ers rookie Tank Carradine and his ACL injury. He was recovering in a rapid manner leading towards the draft, but what will he do to deal with the rigors of an Madden NFL 24 training camp? A fit Carradine playing in the 49ers defense is almost unfair, given that he has the ability to stick his foot in the ground and rise to snare the quarterback. He could have been a first-round selection if not the knee injury that he sustained.

Tyler Bray, Quarterback, Kansas City Chiefs

Character issues have taken on a new importance to Madden NFL 24 squads after recent events in the past few offseasons. Tyler Bray went undrafted because of concerns about his maturity. But, he could have come to the right spot. New Chiefs coach Andy Reid has proven to be a rock solid mentor to players who are struggling during his tenure. Bray's physical ability is immense however, he's got to mature to make it onto the Chiefs roster. If he fails to stick as the third quarterback of the team it will reveal something about his character.

Da'Rick Rogers, Wide Receiver, Buffalo Bills

Another amazing talent that went undrafted due to off-the-field issues Wide receiver Da'Rick Rodgers. Rogers was removed from Tennessee because of failure to pass drug tests and banging heads with the coaches. He's strong, fast and has the ability to make plays after the catch, however the Bills don't have a stake in Rogers, as a player who is not drafted. This means He'll be walking through a tightrope and must do his best on the field in order to be a part of the roster.

D.J. Fluker, Offensive Tackle, San Diego Chargers

Philip Rivers can attest to the extent to which the Chargers' offensive line struggled in 2012. The first-round pick D.J. Fluker will have every chance to make it to the starting line-up in one of football's most difficult fronts. Fluker isn't a good fit for left tackle due to his heavy feet and may even struggle at right tackle early in his career. He'll be able to make an impact early on but is he ready for it?

Cordarrelle Patterson, Wide Receiver, Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings hope Cordarrelle Patterson can ease their loss to Percy Harvin. Patterson is a great player playing with the ball on his grasp, but he's far from Harvin in the majority of aspects in his play. In the preseason, Vikings will likely to put Patterson's hands full to help get him acclimated to the Madden NFL 24 rapidly. It'll be interesting to discover how they will involve him.

Ziggy Ansah, Defensive End Detroit Lions

The term raw was used in nearly every conversation about BYU defensive end Ezekiel Ansah before when he was selected in the Madden NFL 24 Draft. His combination of strength and speed earned him a spot in the top five, though the position is accompanied by the expectation of becoming a contributor from the beginning. Given the speed at which Ansah has grown during his college career and the next phase of his career is sure to be interesting to follow.

Brian Schwenke, Center, Tennessee Titans

The inside of the Titans' offensive line has been a major problem for the team over the recent seasons. However, it shouldn't be any longer after Tennessee signed guard Andy Levitre and drafted Alabama guard Chance Warmack with the No. 10 pick in April's draft. But, fourth-round selection Brian Schwenke, a center out of California and the state of California, is the interior lineman to watch during the training camp. He was described as an "ordinary tools" guy, but is expected to be considered for an opening job as soon as the first day.

Peterson isn't a good person to be around.

Adrian Peterson erased any and all past and future doubts regarding his ability to heal fast when he rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns in Week 1 the current season, which came just eight months after undergoing major surgery to repair a ruptured ACL and the MCL. However, news broke on Tuesday that Peterson isn't fully recovered after his hernia surgery in January though the team hopes Peterson will be back by the time OTAs begin in May, or perhaps for exercises on his own in late April. Visit Daily Norseman for more on the Vikings.

Time running up on Revis trade

On the field, Keenan Allen Madden 24 Nation was on the field at Cal wide receiver's Tuesday practice Day at the Pro Day in North Carolina. What can Allen's results tell us concerning the future of his Madden NFL 24 the future?

It's likely that the New York Jets won't have Darrelle Revis beyond the 2013 season, and that's the fact that's known. The team is looking to get rid of him however the likelihood of getting 2013. Madden NFL 24 Draft selections is getting slimmer and slimmer every day. With the draft just a couple weeks away, the time for a solution is closing. And for the recovering Jets, it should be an absolute priority.

Russell is attracting real interest?

Whether or not JaMarcus Russell will complete his return to Madden NFL 24. nobody can deny that he's doing his best at this point. On Tuesday, it was reported in the media that both Chicago Bears and Arizona Cardinals are showing the highest interest in Russell in the current season's offseason. A contract with either team would certainly be exciting worth considering, especially since he might have a chance to challenge the Cardinals.

Winston angry about free agency

An offensive tackle who is a free agent Eric Winston is "frustrated" about how free agency has been so far. Winston insists that he's not over-valuing himself in wanting the equivalent of $3-4 million each season.

Weblog This is The Boys: Winston, Cowboys are talking

It was a very strong class for offensive tackles at the beginning. The upcoming draft is incredibly deep in the area too, which is certain to hurt Winston's worth.

Dallas solicits Free to reduce his pay

Doug Free is set to make $7 million in 2013. with a an annual cap which is $10.02 million. For the Cowboys it's way too much, especially considering that Free was the highest-penalized offensive tackle in Madden NFL 24 last season. Dallas is looking to hire Winston to fill in the role, and with Free playing inside to protect. Although the team has requested Free to accept a salary cut, it's unlikely that he's motivated to make the move, given the fact that his cap remains the same even if they let him go.

Saints re-sign De La Puente

The rise of Brian De La Puenta as a top-of-the-line center has proved fantastic for the Saints however both sides have been unable to come to terms on a long-term contract as of yet. This past Tuesday the Saints signed him for a single-year deal worth $2.023 million, and smart money is being put on trying to work out an extension for this season.

Pay Kolb for bills ... in a way

On Tuesday, the contract numbers for quarterback Kevin Kolb trickled out, and there was some understanding of the initially reported $15 million agreement. As it turns out, Kolb's guarantee is just $1 million, with his base salary being $6.1 million. He could make $13 million however only if he's the team's starter and can earn plenty of escalators and incentive programs. The Buffalo Rumblings blog has more on the Bills.

The opening weekend of the 2013 Madden NFL 24 Playoffs can conclude with what could be, on paper, the most entertaining game ever played. This weekend, the Seattle Seahawks, playing perhaps the most exciting game in football travel across the country to take on opponents like the Washington Redskins, winners of the seven previous games. Much of the focus heading into the game will focus on the head-to-head contest between two quarterbacks who are rookies, Robert Griffin III and Russell Wilson. Both have made a case for the Madden NFL 24's Rookie of the Year award, but the possibility of winning at the end of Sunday's game in Maryland is obviously the bigger reward.

After Seattle's dominance over the last month and dominance in the final month of the season, the Seahawks are home favorites against the NFC East champs. But all five of their losses this season were on the road. RGIII will have had the rest of a week to heal his knee injury. The 2011 Heisman champion was evidently hampered during the Redskins in the final two games of the season, wearing the bulky knee brace which prevented him from running with explosiveness through the backfield. Wilson did not suffer any major injuries in the first season but increased his efficiency each week in order to keep the Seahawks moving forward ahead of the postseason.

Meet the Redskins

The Redskins are entering the postseason with an eight-game winning streak, having rebounded from a 3-6 record in their bye game to climb toward the top of NFC East. Griffin has completely changed their fortunes, gaining a team which had not made an appearance in the postseason since 2006 The team was one of the most boring offenses in the Madden NFL 24. The rookie was an immediate success, lighting up the Saints in Week 1 and after that, he was the newly appointed captain throughout the season.

Mike and Kyle Shanahan dramatically altered their offenses to be more adapted to the RGIII's skills, using the pistol and the zone-read option. Chris Brown highlighted the offensive adjustments in Washington and the Redskins played it perfectly against Dallas to take that division last night. Griffin is averaging nearly seven yards per carry when using the zone-read. Even with the knee brace it was still able to make space in the middle when he faced the Cowboys. Although he's not 100 per cent, Shanahan and RG3 have selected the right places to force defenses to decide and is athletic enough to pick up yardage even when not at 100.

Of course, RGIII isn't the only rookie who has accumulated yards with huge chunks of the backfield. In his debut season Alfred Morris has been a remarkably productive running back. The sixth-rounder stole the headlines in primetime in the season's final. Morris scored a record-breaking 200 yards evening in the match against the Cowboys and set the Redskins record for the most rushing yards in a single season. He finished the year by rushing for 1.613 miles -and only Adrian Peterson had more -- and 13 touchdowns, including seven in Washington's final four games. The rookie bursts through holes and quickly gets up to the top of defense, which is perfect for the Redskins new offense. The rookie duo paced Washington to the top rush attack in the Madden NFL 24 with an average of 169.3 yards per game.

This Redskins defense was largely responsible for the slow 3-6 start But Jim Haslett's group improved over the second period of the season, during Washington's postseason run. Washington frequently blitzed Sunday night and was able to hold Dallas to just 18 points and limited the passing attack, which led to the Cowboys close to the playoffs. But the Redskins' secondary remains vulnerable with a record of 281.9 yards per gamewhich ranks 30th in league. Wilson will have his chances to get shots in the field and must be able to get the defensive line in place to keep out the pressure Haslett will likely send.

At the opposite end of the spectrum The Redskins make up the best players in the league when it comes to stopping the rush. The legendary London Fletcher has been nursing an injury to his ankle for the second quarter of the year, but Fletcher is the leader of a defense that is holding teams to just 95.8 yards. As with Washington and the Seahawks possess one of the most impressive rush games of Madden NFL 24. led by a variety of options with Wilson and the Marshawn Lynch. Fletcher together with defense have to limit Seattle on the ground , or otherwise Wilson could expose a weak secondary that is prone to playaction.

Meet the Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks enter the postseason as the team that isn't wanted by anyone after they swept through this league in five victories during the month of December. They boast one of the top defenses in Madden NFL 24 and Wilson's development throughout the year led to a true dual-threat and well-balanced offense when the regular season came to an end.

Seattle's defense ranks in top 10 when it comes to the run and the pass. The Seahawks put pressure constantly up into the middle and away from the edge, rattling quarterbacks who are serving it to a solid secondary. Chris Clemons and rookie Bruce Irvin could be the league's top pair of edge rushers. They utilize their speed to get to the quarterback. Red Bryant and Brandon Mebane clog up the interior and typically get push into the backfield. It will be a struggle for Washington to stop the Seattle front seven that could be an improvement over the unit that the Redskins were able to defeat last Sunday night.

With RGIII's restricted mobility, Washington will need to defend Seattle through the air. However, the Seahawks possess one of the most effective defensive backfields on the Madden NFL 24 with a team led by Richard Sherman, who will be available following the appeal to overturn a Madden NFL 24 suspension. Sherman leads the team with eight interceptions . Sherman is expected to play with Pierre Garcon, Washington's biggest threat outside the numbers. Garcon has been a major increase to Redskins passing game, shaking off a foot injury and creating several big plays towards the end. However, Sherman as well as the secondary and the rush to the front will present a unique challenge for RGIII.

As the No. 2 overall selection, Griffin received much of the national spotlight early on in the season, but Wilson's play matches his performance down the stretch. The Seahawks were cautious early in the season, however, Wilson made big plays when called upon. In the second half, Wilson has become a proficient passer in the pocket , as well as on the move in keeping defenses at bay and building relationships and a rapport with Sidney Rice and Golden Tate. He isn't prone to errors in the final stretch of the season, racking up 26 touchdown passes and just 10 interceptions.

Like Griffin, Wilson is also a danger on the ground, whether it's designed or extending plays through scrambling. He averaged over five yards per carry during the season and added four rushing touchdowns. However, it's Lynch who's the best performer out of the backfield. He averaged five yards per run for the second-highest amount of attempted attempts of the NFL. Similar to Wilson, Lynch rarely coughs his ball away, and has only lost two fumbles throughout the season. A good turnover margin is often the easiest route to win on road, but Lynch and Wilson both Lynch and Wilson never give up on it.

The Local Tsunami: Redskins

Hogs Haven breaks down the plot of Haslett to repeatedly blitz the Cowboys and wonders what else could be to come for Seattle:

We needed Jim Haslett and his defense to work together to take us into the playoffs.

The game plan defensive coordinator Haslett put together was certainly gutsy, but it was executed perfectly and left Tony Romo and the Cowboys amazed. The Redskins made blitz upon blitz in the hope of getting to Romo before he made the play. Sometimes they would disguise the blitz in the same way with the same look, and at other times they were not trying to conceal it in any way.

Local Takes: Seahawks

Kenneth Arthur of Field Gulls discusses the Seahawks closing of the season and looks forward to Washington:

I'm sure that Madden NFL 24 is going skip the Seahawks yet again and pick the Redskins and their Most Outstanding Rookie of the YearRobert Griffin III, as well as their seven consecutive wins over Seattle. Please count the Seahawks out. This is precisely what this team loves. We, you and I are Seattle fans. We were born with the chip on our shoulder. It's not like we were given anything. And neither was Richard Sherman, or Wilson, and Doug Baldwin, or Brandon Browner. Was it a close game? A 90-yard drive needed to score the crucial touchdown? Griffin winning his place in the NFC East on national television? Phew!

The winner of this game will take on either the 49ers or Falcons. If the Vikings beat the Packers The winner of the Seahawks-Redskins game will meet the 49ers. But if Green Bay takes care of their business at home Seahawks-Redskins winner will go buy madden 24 coins to Atlanta next week.
