My wish list has become longer as a result of all of the holiday palettes that have been released recently.

I started with one palette, thinking maybe I'll get it, and now I have six of them. I can't help but feel like I'm in the Pokemon show; I must collect them all. I did the research that was required of me and checked for color overlap on Temptalia's website using her Palette vs Palette tool. Surprisingly, there is not a lot of color overlap; out of a total of about 70 colors, I believe there are about 10 that are in the 90% and up range.

I've been looking at the price tag of the items on my want list, and I've come to the conclusion that I don't want to spend that much money. I don't want to get these palettes just because they're new and shiny, and I don't want to get them because I have this fear of being left out, which I believe is called FOMO (fear of missing out). Because these palettes are part of a limited edition, delaying my purchase of even one or two of them means that I will miss the opportunity entirely. Out of all of the palettes that are currently on my wish list, only two are permanent.

The issue is that I get so excited about them, thinking about all the ways that I'll use them, and why I need them in my life, and then when I purchase the shadows, they sit in my vanity collecting figurative dust. The problem is that I get so excited about them, thinking about all the ways that I'll use them, and why I need them in my life. OrI was using my Lorac Pro Palette 1 the other day and realized that there were too pale colors that I had never touched, and I don't even remember if I swatched them; I don't want to continue going down that route with palettes. If I do use the palette, I won't be able to use all of the shades.

The Lorac Mega Pro 3 palette was on my wish list, but whenever I was able to persuade myself that I should purchase it, all I had to do was look at the first two rows going vertically to start questioning whether or not those colors would work with my skin tone. How can I get them to function properly? If I use a white base, will they still be visible, or will it just look ashy? Not what I'm looking for in a palette, which would have cost me close to 84 Canadian dollars if I purchased it.

These are the companies I'm thinking of, of course we've got the obvious Anastasia Beverly Hills and Makeup Geek, but there are some small companies like Coloured Raine, Belifore, Cozzette, Hot Makeup, Suva Beauty, SugarPill, etc. that I'll check out in my quest to build the ultimate palette (said in the voice of Brain). So my big idea, which isn't new by any stretch of the imagination is to sort through all of the

My initial intention was to include a documentation of the color scheme in this post; however, I still have a ways to go before deciding on my colors and the rationale behind the color decisions that I make. I adore shimmering peach pinks, and of course some nice browns that I can use for an easy makeup look. Although I don't tend to wear greens and blues on my eyes very often, I do love bright colors like those.

I purchased a ton of Coastal Scents' shadows and hot pots, so I have a lot of those. When they were having various sales, I was able to get them for.99 cents each. In addition to that, I have a few eyeshadows from Makeup Geek and a few eyeshadows from BlackBird Cosmetics. I am pleased with the quality of the eyeshadows made by MUG and BlackBird, but I am not so pleased with the eyeshadows made by coastal scents. I don't like how it applies or how long it lasts, but I'm not going to complain about it because I know that the quality is pretty good for.99 cents worth of shadow. On the other hand, I'd rather spend more money and get a product of higher quality.

As I sit here and write this, Black Friday is drawing closer, and I just got an email saying that ABH eyeshadows will be 60% off, which means that each shadow will be priced at $4.80 U. S. dollars. When you consider the eyeshadows' reputedly high level of quality, that is an excellent price point. I've started putting together my shopping cart with the help of a list that I worked on.

What are your thoughts on eyeshadow palette that are described as being "custom"? Have you made one or given any thought to the possibility of making one? Which shadows do you recommend I use?
