In Diablo 4's open world, certain areas of the map have a chance to spawn encounters. These encounters aren't permanently available, disappearing upon completion for an Diablo IV Gold unclear amount of time. Each encounter is somewhat different, tasking players with quests like contributing blood to a ritual or following a wandering spirit as it looks for its family. Completing the encounter rewards a chest full of loot, plus bonuses if the encounter is "Mastered" by performing an additional challenge.

One specific encounter continues to give Diablo 4 players headaches, however. The encounter involves multiple adventurers that ask the player to protect them amidst waves of attacking enemies. The encounter can have different enemies, but oftentimes the NPCs frequently die and deny players a Mastery bonus. Sometimes they die from seemingly random spikes of damage, and sometimes they die because there's no real way to protect them. Regardless, it seems many Diablo 4 players find the encounter annoying.
A popular post on Reddit captures the issue in a meme. The top text on the meme reads "Keep one adventurer alive," referencing the goal for mastering the encounter. The bottom text reads, "Aaaand they're gone," since they die so quickly. A second Reddit posts on the subject details a player's frustrations in more detail. They say the encounter is a joke, that the adventurers die to AOEs or poison, and have no visible health bar.
The issue obviously isn't pressing. Diablo 4 players responding to these Reddit posts acknowledge that it's silly how difficult it is to keep these NPCs alive, but also recognize the rewards aren't particularly special anyway. Many players say the encounter is still good because of all the enemies it spawns, which can make up for the loot lost by letting the adventurers die.
Giving the adventurers more health or resistance would seemingly be an easy solution to the problem. Perhaps Blizzard likes that one of its Diablo 4 encounters has a higher failure rate than the others, though. Most other encounters are quite easy, after all. Perhaps Blizzard will note the feedback and buff the NPCs in a future update, but that's just speculation at this time.
Diablo 4 has various ways for players to customize their character. From the start of the game, players are first left to create the character that they will use for the rest of the game; after some exploration, players will then begin to find new pieces of armor to equip.

Salvaging this gear at a Blacksmith allows players to then wear the style of this armor permanently without needing to have that gear equipped. Although all classes share the same names of armor, they all appear differently on the character. Barbarians may appear as if they don't wear much attire, as seen from the character customization screen; however, this lethal class still has plenty of brilliant armor options for gamers to choose from.
